Not at this time.

How do I apply for a job?

Please come to the counter and ask for a job application.  Once you complete it, return it to us and when we are hiring, if we like what we see, we will give you a call.

Will Flagstone Pantry support my event or donate to my charity?

We strive to responsibly produce the highest quality products for our local community to enjoy.  We have selected the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County as our community partner and channel our charitable efforts to help them fight food insecurity in our own backyard. We also participate in events benefitting various organizations hosted by the Santa Barbara Public Market.

How do I refrigerate, freeze, bake, or reheat my food once I get home?

Please see our tip sheet for detailed directions.

I have food allergies.  Can I eat your food?

We use the finest dairy, flour and nut products. Although we do offer products made with gluten-free ingredients, our kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free facility and cross-contamination may occur. We recommend not consuming any of our products if you have any food allergies.

Why do you use plastic packaging instead of compostable packaging?

We’re glad you asked.  We’ve thought long and hard about this one.  Until Santa Barbara offers residential composting, our customers’ options for disposing of food packaging at home are trash or recycling. Compostable packaging contaminates recyclable material, so in this case, compostable packaging disposed of at home must go into the trash, adding to the landfill.  You could put it in your own compost pile, but without industrial strength heat, water and oxygen, it will take a very long time to break down. We feel the most responsible thing to do is to offer food safe, recyclable packaging until commercial composting becomes an option for all of us at home. We’d like that very much!

Our cooks compost all of the food scraps and food soiled paper generated in the kitchen.

Why do you charge for bags?

Small businesses were required to be in compliance with Santa Barbara’s bag ordinance starting November 14, 2014. We now charge $.10 for any size bag. We sell super-cute-reusable-logo jute bags! You can use them over and over again – and look good doing it.

Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes! Our hand-crafted letterpress gift certificates are available in any denomination over $10. They make a perfectly delicious gift. Purchase them at the market.

What if I’m not satisfied with my purchase?

Oh, heaven forbid.  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, by all means, bring it back with your receipt and we will gladly process a refund or exchange.
