With deep experience in hospitality, management consulting, and entrepreneurship, I enjoy working at the intersection of people and problem solving.
In 2008, I turned in my top secret clearance and management consulting job to enroll at Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City. Their focus on health supportive culinary arts aligned with my personal priorities around nutrition, exercise and wellness. This led me down a path of owning and operating a food business in Santa Barbara, California for almost 7 years. In 2018, my little shop and customer favorite Cowboy Cookie were featured on Cooking Channel’s: Cheap Eats Santa Barbara (now Santa Barbara Bargains). Watch it here!
In 2020, during the pandemic, I had an incredible opportunity cooking for World Central Kitchen, an international relief organization. What started out as a volunteer opportunity turned into me running a kitchen producing 5,000 nutritious meals/day for families in need. After years of cooking in food retail, it changed me. We all have the power to build community, with individual acts both large and small.
These days, I cook at home and hope to inspire others to do the same! Stay well.
