Santa Barbara Seasons Blog, June 20, 2013
As anyone who has recently walked the corner of Victoria and Chapala Streets can attest, there is certainly a lot of activity happening in the soon-to-open Santa Barbara Public Market and Alma del Pueblo complex. Recently, an updated list of vendors was released, including a bread shop that was just confirmed today! See below for details on each:
Crazy Good Bread: The latest vendor to come on board, Crazy Good Bread Co. is heaven in loaf form. Flavors as rustic as rosemary olive and as creative as Chocolate Black Pepper are certain to be on the dinner tables (and in the bellies) of every Santa Barbaran by summer’s end.
Foragers Pantry: Shop for foodie items edible and not, such as cookware.
Belcampo Meat Co.: Expect the best organically-farmed, processed and butchered meat that you’ve ever tasted—whether you’re barbecuing ribs or roasting the occasional duck.

il Fustino Oils: Our favorite local oil and vinegar company heads downtown, and we’re ready for the dipping to commence.
Enjoy Cupcakes: Los Olivos’s favorite cupcaker brings her dainty designs and intense flavors (many involving Chardonnay, including the Jalapeño Pineapple Chardonnay cupcake) to the Public Market, with a weekly menu of cakey morsels and event catering available.
Flagstone Pantry: Delivering “honest to goodness” seasonal, wholesome foods, Flagstone Pantry offers a café-style menu, with local and mindful ingredients shaping their soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods and other dishes (some of which are gluten- or dairy-free!).
Green Star Coffee: This local blender and roaster is no stranger to our morning mugs, but having a one-stop shop of Green Star goodness certainly will perk up our a.m. commutes.

Rori’s Artisanal Creamery: Our favorite artisanal ice cream shop from Montecito comes to downtown Santa Barbara, bringing with it exotic and eccentric tastes such as root beer float and peanut butter and jelly—and the flavors just keep on coming. Perfect for a summer pit-stop.
JuiceWell: You’re going to need something to wash down all of these culinary creations, and the elixirs from JuiceWell fit the bill nicely. Pick up a full cleanse or a single bottle in flavors such as Wake Up (cucumber, jalapeno, grapefruit, ginger and lemon) or The Rose (pineapple, beet, apple, lemon and ginger).
The Pasta Shoppe: Expect excellent fresh-made pasta and lots of other dinnertime accoutrements here. Seasonal products and delectable fillings line the shelves, and the doughy smells of Italy permeate from the open-air kitchen throughout the store.
WINE + BEER: This name speaks for itself.
The Kitchen: Offering cooking classes to the community, winemakers dinners and more—a space to be shared.
There are rumors circulating about the final inhabitants of the market, so check back soon to see who finishes up this mecca of local artisan delights.
